Drew Howard, Founder and Chief Investment Officer

Drew Howard is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Howard Fiduciary Investments, a fee-only fiduciary RIA. Every client portfolio is managed in-house under a single macro regime-aware discipline. No outsourced models. No third-party products. No conflicts.

Prior to founding HFI, Drew served as an Intelligence Operations officer in the U.S. Air Force and later pursued doctoral training in translational molecular biology, conducting cancer research. Those environments taught the same lesson that now governs every portfolio decision. Process matters more than prediction. Signals are read. Discipline is followed. Outcomes are accepted without hedging. That same rigor informs HFI's Alpha Trend architecture, a long-flat system that participates when trends are sustained and steps aside when correlations converge and conventional diversification fails.

Clients are successful professionals and families with meaningful wealth who want the truth, not performance. They have outgrown advisors who default to indexing or 60/40 without a repeatable process for regime shifts. At HFI the work is transparent and fiduciary in the strictest sense. The same discipline is applied to every account the same day a regime signal triggers.

Drew brings nearly a decade of fiduciary advisory practice to the role and is a registered investment adviser representative.

The Compass

Process over prediction.

"We do not predict the wind, and we do not argue with it. We trim our own sails to what is actually blowing. And when open water offers nothing, we know the way back to harbor."

Planning at HFI is organized around three progressive standards, Security, Freedom, and Independence, each a line held across the full territory of a household's financial life. See how the work is structured, or how the portfolios are built.
